Dr. Elias Ortiz, MD, is a certified laparoscopic and robotic bariatric surgeon currently practicing in Tijuana, BC, Mexico. He exclusively operates at Elias Ortiz and Company, boasting 12 years of experience in the field of bariatric surgery.

Dr. Ortiz holds the position of Vice President at the CCBEMBC (College of Bariatric Surgeons and Metabolic Disease of Baja California, Mexico). He is also a founding member and former speaker at the CCBEMBC, as well as the current Treasurer of the CMCOEM (Mexican College of Surgery for Obesity and Metabolic Diseases). Additionally, he actively participates as a member of IFSO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity).

In his role as a professor of high specialty, Dr. Ortiz imparts his knowledge to fellows in bariatric surgery at CCBEMBC.

Dr. Ortiz has made significant contributions through presentations at various conferences, including IBC, IFSO, IRCAD Latam, Bariatric Chanel, CCBEMBC, and CMCOEM.

With nearly 25,000 bariatric procedures under his belt as the primary surgeon, Dr. Ortiz has been a global leader in the field for the past five consecutive years.
