Dr Emile Coetzee is a Colorectal Surgeon in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.  His fields of interest include Minimally invasive and Robotic colorectal surgery, IBD, intestinal failure and abdominal wall reconstruction.

He is an honorary lecturer at the University of Cape Town, an Examiner for the Colleges of Surgeons of South Africa and the Past President of the South African Society of Endoscopic Surgeons. He served as Vice President (Africa) for the International Society of University Colorectal Surgeons. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications and actively partakes in research with the Colorectal Unit of the University of Cape Town as well as International multi-centre research collaborations.
