Dr. Souheil Boubia is a thoracic surgeon in the thoracic surgery department at Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca, Morocco. He trained between Rabat, Casablanca and Paris 2000-2006 and then became Professor of thoracic surgery at the Hassan II faculty of medicine in Casablanca in 2011.
He is a founding member of the African Society of Thoracic Surgery, as well as a member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer Staging and Prognostic Factors Committee (IASLC SPFC) and Member of ESTS (European Society Thoracic Surgery) Thoracic Infectious of Surgical Interest working group and ESTS Thymic Working Group.
He participated in the latest edition (9th) of the TNM for lung cancer which will be published in 2024. he is the author of several publications in minimally invasive surgery as well as in surgical thoracic infectious pathology.
He has hosted several Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS) masterclasses in more than 20 countries in Africa.
