In colorectal surgery – Another perspective

During colorectal cancer staging, we can find lymph nodes in extraanatomical positions or aberrant locations due to different drainage. That is why we should redesign our surgical technique to improve sensitivity and specificity in our lymph node staging and modify the lymphadenectomy as needed.
