Advances in the Management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

A new live congress was broadcasted for the AIS Channel community on November 28, 2014.

In this meeting the main goal is to gather leading surgeons and gastroenterologists to discuss hot topics in the management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

Surgical indications and new approaches for patients with IBD, tips and tricks of the procedures, complication management and latest controversies, were some of the subjects discussed by a renowned Faculty Panel composed of Antonio M Lacy, Julián Panés, Jordi Rimola, Feza Remzi and Christianne Buskens.

Streaming live, a 75 minutes proctectomy by transanal approach

During the 6th AIS Channel Congress “Advances in the Management of IBD”, a proctectomy and J-Pouch was performed in a novel approach by two teams (Cecil Approach) and streamed live.

Dra. S Delgado & Dra. R Bravo were operating at the laparoscopic transabdominal field and Dr. Antonio M Lacy & Dra. M Fernández-Hevia by transanal approach.

An innovative format: A television program broadcast live with a presenter

On November 28, 2014, from 2pm to 7pm (GMT+1), AIS Channel was broadcasted in live streaming Advances in the Management of IBD congress in an innovative TV format, with a presenter and audience.

AIS Channel makes use of the latest technologies available (website with HD videos, live conference streaming…) to spread the advances in surgical procedures with the support of renowned experts from around the world.
