Dr. Harris is a Board-Certified General Surgeon currently pursuing specialty training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. She is the Creator and Director of the Cultural Complications Curriculum, a data-driven program that empowers health care workers to identify and respond to bias in the clinical environment. She holds a Masters in Health Services research, and her academic interests focus on how to best identify patient preferences and integrate those preferences into care. Her advocacy and leadership interests center on how to recruit, foster, and promote a diverse health care workforce capable of meeting the holistic needs of the patients they serve.
