Dr. Erin A. Gillaspie is an Associate Professor with Tenure and Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Creighton University Medical Center.
She completed her training in thoracic surgery at the Mayo Clinic and began her career in thoracic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she served as the Director of Thoracic Robotics and Clerkship director of the medical student surgery rotations. She then transitioned to her current role as the Chief of Thoracic Surgery for Creighton University Medical Center. She is active in many thoracic surgical and oncologic societies holding leadership positions within the STS, GTSC and ECOG-CRIN. She has authored over 70 scientific papers and book chapters. Her primary research interests include pulmonary surgery, robotics, and peri adjuvant drug trials.
