Dr. Gianmarco Panzera is currently a fourth-year General Surgery resident at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Policlinico A. Gemelli in Rome. He has diverse experience in hospital settings across Italy, including emergency surgery, trauma management, and minimally invasive techniques. 

Dr. Panzera is passionate about colorectal and gastroesophageal surgery, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, and bariatric surgery. His research interests include the application of artificial intelligence in digestive surgery and improving surgical outcomes through innovative techniques such as robotic and laparoscopic surgery.

A dedicated clinician, he has participated in numerous international conferences, where he has presented research on various topics such as Crohn's disease surgery and rare postoperative complications. Outside of medicine, Dr. Panzera enjoys advancing his skills through hands-on training courses and is committed to patient care and scientific progress. Fluent in English, with additional knowledge of German, he enjoys collaborating in multicultural environments.
