Dr. Gustavo Kohan is a surgeon specialized in pancreatic surgery and laparoscopic pancreatic surgery, being one of the first surgeons to have performed laparoscopic cephalic duodenopancreatectomy in Argentina. He trained alongside Professor Doctor Alejandro Oria, the major reference in pancreatic surgery in the country, at the Cosme Argerich Hospital.
He was born in the City of Buenos Aires in 1974. He graduated from the Colegio Nacional Buenos Aires, with a degree in Biological Sciences. He then entered the Medicine Career at the University of Buenos Aires, from where he graduated, with an average of 9.20 and Diploma of Honor.
He holds the titles of Specialist in General Surgery and Specialist in Surgical Clinic. He has Accreditation in Laparoscopic Surgery, granted by the Videoendoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery Committee of the Argentine Surgery Association.

He is also an authorized teacher of the University of Buenos Aires.
He is an Academic Member of the Argentine Academy of Surgery, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Argentine Chapter of the International Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association.
In December 2020 he concluded his presidency of the Pancreas Club.
He currently works as a pancreatic surgeon at the Sanatorio de la Trinidad Mitre, in charge of Pancreas Surgery at the Sanatorio de la Trinidad Ramos Mejía and Sanatorio Juncal. Also at the Cosme Argerich Hospital in the City of Buenos Aires as a Plant Surgeon.
At the Luciano and Mariano de la Vega Provincial Hospital, in the City of Moreno, also as a Plant and Guard Surgeon.
