Dr. Hannes Cash began his medical career as a Resident Doctor at the Clinic for Urology, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, working under Prof. Dr. K. Miller from 2009 to 2014. Following this, he specialized in Urology at the same clinic until 2016. In 2014 and 2015, he served as a Visiting Scientist at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Genetics, Core Sequencing Facility in Berlin, funded by the Eisenberger Scholarship of the German Society of Urology (DGU).
In 2017, Dr. Cash achieved his Habilitation with a focus on the implications of MRI/ultrasound fusion-guided targeted biopsies on the diagnostics of prostate cancer, earning Venia Legendi for the subject Urology at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He continued his career as a Senior Physician at the Clinic for Urology, Charité, before taking on the role of Coordinator of the Prostate Cancer Center from 2016 to 2020.
From 2018 to September 2020, Dr. Cash served as the head of BPH laser therapy and imaging of the prostate, fusion biopsy, and focal therapy at the Clinic for Urology, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, under Prof. Dr. T. Schlomm. Since June 2020, he has been involved in the founding of ProUro Berlin and has been practicing medicine at MEOCLINIC. Since October 2021, Dr. Cash has taken over a practice in Berlin-Charlottenburg, focusing on various urological procedures, including kidney stone therapy, Greenlight laser treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BHP), minimally invasive treatment of BHP with the REZÜM system, MRI, ultrasound fusion biopsy, and focal therapy of prostate carcinoma using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU).
