Dr. José Sergio Verboonen is a Board Certified Bariatric Surgeon. He was born in Mazatlán Sinaloa, moved to Tijuana at the age of 28, and has lived in Baja California for over 30 years.

He has 30 years of experience in his field, a leading Bariatric Surgeon at the Obesity Goodbye Center Clinic, located in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, as well as a Bariatric Surgeon at the AZURA Hospital in Cancun S.A. de C.V. and Hospital Joya de Cancun S.A. de C.V.

He is currently the President of the Mexican College of Surgery for Obesity and Metabolic Diseases, as well as a founding member of the College of Bariatric Surgery and Metabolic Diseases of the State of Baja California.
