Dr. Juan Ricciardi is a Consultant General Surgeon and Active Member of the Venezuelan Surgery Society. Surgeon attached to the Department of Surgery and Member of the General Surgery Service at University Hospital of The Andes, Merida, Venezuela. Active Member of the SERMO Team Chain.
Born in Valera, Trujillo – Venezuela in 1992. First he study Medicine at the University of The Andes, Merida-Valera, Venezuela and became a General Practitioner with the Cum Laude special distinction, during his career work as a nobel research publishing articles Journal Workshops in Protozoology and Community Health and with an arbitration review article at the Malariology and Environmental Health Bulletin. During 2016-2017 work as a rural doctor at the Jose Gregorio Hernandez Hospital, Trujillo, and also doing his scheduled Assistance Residence in General Surgery at the same place.
In December 2017, he moved to Merida, Venezuela where start and complete his postgraduate studies, during this time he work with the presentation of free works about deferred splenic trauma and Meckel Diverticulum causing bowel obstruction at the National Congress of the Venezuelan Surgery Society, Caracas 2019, later he became a Chief Resident in 2020 and develop basic knowledge and skills with many emergency and elective surgeries. Also, participate as an assistant in many conferences organized by Venezuelan Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Society SOVCIBAM, Hernia A to Z Fundamentals Course European Hernia Society, Infection Committee of the Venezuelan Society of Surgery, Modulated Update Program in Trauma, Emergencies and Critical Care in times of Covid 19 of the Argentine Association of Surgery, III International Course of Endoscopic Surgery of the Department of Endoscopic Surgery at the Society of Surgeons Chile.
