Dr. Juan José Espert is a renowned specialist in General and Digestive Surgery. He has more than 20 years of experience in the profession and extensive training in different fields of the specialty. In particular, he is an expert in the treatment of large hernias and eventration, having performed more than 1,000 interventions of recurrence of inguinal hernia and recurrence of eventration.
Throughout his career he has combined his work with teaching, being an associate professor of General Surgery at the University of Barcelona, as well as multiple courses in the specialty. At the same time he develops an important research and informative activity, being a regular speaker at congresses of the specialty, author and co-author of scientific articles of the specialty and also of book chapters. He currently practices at the Lacy Surgical Institute and also at Barnaclinic+, at the Hospital Clínic in Barcelona.
