Dr. Marc Barahona, born in Barcelona on July 17th, 1976, is a medical professional specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. They graduated from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2001 and completed their specialization at the University Hospital of Bellvitge in 2006, focusing on Obstetrics and Gynecological Oncology.

Currently, Dr. Barahona serves as an Associated Professor at the Medicine Faculty of the University of Barcelona and is actively involved in medical research at the Bellvitge Investigation Institute (IDIBELL), specifically in the field of Gynecological Oncology.

Since 2009, Dr. Barahona has been practicing robotic surgery and is a recognized proctor of Gynecological Robotic Surgery for Abex Medical®. They have extensive experience as a speaker in various courses and conferences on Pelvic Floor, Endoscopy, Robotics, and Gynecologic Oncology. Additionally, he has contributed to the literature with book chapters on robotic surgery, over 100 posters and oral presentations at national and international Gynecology Congresses, and more than 20 original articles published in prestigious journals.

He is an active member of professional societies including SERGS, SEGO, and ESGO, and has held significant roles within these organizations, such as serving as a Council Member of SERGS from 2019 to 2023 and as the Spanish NATREP of ENYGO from 2012 to 2014.

Their dedication to education is reflected in their appointment as Chair of the Pre-Intermediate & Advanced Course on Robotic Gynecological Oncology Surgery. Dr. Barahona's contributions have had a profound impact on the field of Gynecological Oncology and Robotic Surgery.
