Mr Scarci is a consultant thoracic surgeon with over 10 years of experience in Cambridge, London and abroad.
His specialist training took place in Malta, the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre and Guy's and St Thomas', London. Following a six-month fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada, Mr Scarci was appointed consultant thoracic surgeon at Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridge in 2011.
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including other distinguished surgeons, specialist nurses, radiologists and physicians, Mr Scarci is committed to providing a personalised service which ensures the best treatment and the best outcome for each patient.
He welcomes enquiries about surgical and non-surgical treatments for a wide range of conditions, from chest wall deformities and fractured ribs to lung and chest wall cancers. His academic and clinical areas of interest are: chest wall cancers and deformities, single incision of only 3cm lung cancer removal, emphysema, sweaty hands/armpits (hyperhidrosis), facial blushing (erythrophobia), rib fractures, chest wall deformities (pectus excavatum and carenatum).
