Dr. Mark Augustine S. Onglao or Mac is a consultant at the University of the Philippines – Manila, Philippine General Hospital, serving as training officer of the Division of Colorectal Surgery.

Dr. Onglao obtained his medical degree at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, graduating as salutatorian in 2011. He garnered first place during the Physicians’ Licensure Examination in August 2011. He finished his training in General Surgery in 2016 and Colorectal Surgery Fellowship in 2018 at the Philippine General Hospital. After fellowship, he pursued advanced training in minimally invasive Colorectal and Robotic Surgery in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore and National Cancer Center, Japan. He is currently a Fellow of the Philippine Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the Philippine College of Surgeons.

His main interests focus on the multidisciplinary treatment of colorectal cancer, minimally invasive and robotic surgery and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery.
