Dr. Massimiliano Mistrangelo is a Consultant General Surgeon and Contract Professor at the University of Turin, working at the Molinette Hospital in Turin, Italy. Specializing in Colorectal Surgery, he holds a PhD in Radioimmunolocalization in Human Neoplasms.

He actively contributes to the Italian Society of Colo-Rectal Surgery (SICCR) as a member of the executive Committee and directs an advanced Course on High Resolution Anoscopy. Additionally, he is involved with the Training Centre of the School of Proctology and Pelvic Disorders of the Italian Society of Surgery and teaches at the School of Coloproctology proposed by the Italian Association of Hospital Surgeons.

Dr. Mistrangelo is affiliated with several professional societies, including the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP), the Italian Unitary Society of Coloproctology (SIUCP), and the International Anal Neoplasia Society (IANS). He has contributed to the development of Italian Guidelines on AIN, Hemorrhoids, and anal fissures and authored the chapter on colorectal sexually transmitted diseases in the Book of Coloproctology proposed by SIUCP.

With over 120 indexed scientific papers published in peer-reviewed impact factored scientific journals and a personal Scopus H-index of 29, Dr. Mistrangelo's research has made a significant impact. He also serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal Techniques in Coloproctology.

His professional interests lie in colorectal surgery, minimally invasive colorectal surgery, and proctology, with a focus on precancerous lesions and anal cancer.
