Michael R. Freund MD is currently a senior staff general and colorectal surgeon at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel. He has previously trained at the Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC and completed his fellowship in minimally invasive colorectal surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida. He currently holds the position of Senior Lecturer at the Hebrew University faculty of medicine. His research focuses mainly on the surgical treatment of IBD, colon, and rectal cancer.
