Dr Muhammad Ghanem is a bariatric surgeon and endoscopist at Orlando Health, in Orlando Florida. He is the co-director of the Bariatric surgery fellowship program at the same institution. He is a Fellow member of the American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). He is also a fellow of the American College of surgeons and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He has authored a myriad of publications, the vast majority of which focused on bariatric surgery and obesity, with more than 180 citations. He has also authored 6 book chapters. His career is mainly focused on bariatric surgery, with special interest in Duodenal Switch procedures. He also has taken great interest in robotic surgery and emerging technologies in surgery.
