Nova Szoka MD, FACS, FASMBS is an associate professor at West Virginia University, as well as the founder of Endolumik Inc. She completed medical school at UC Davis, general surgery residency at the University of New Mexico, and a Bariatric/MIS Fellowship at Duke University. She performs metabolic, weight-loss, and foregut surgery using the latest minimally invasive techniques in laparoscopy, robotics, and endoscopy. Her research interests include: obesity, microbiome, bariatric outcomes, biodesign, as well as healthcare disparities involving sexual and gender minority populations. Dr. Szoka is also the founder of Endolumik Inc. a surgical device company developing fluorescent guided surgical tools.
