Professor Renato Seracchioli is a gynecological surgeon and a Full Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Bologna. 

Since 2014, he has been the Director of the Gynecology and Human Reproduction Physiopathology Department at Sant’Orsola Hospital, Bologna. 

Since 2019, he has been Director of the Specialization School of Gynecology and Obstetrics, UNIBO.

He is the Author of more than 350 scientific papers published in peer-reviewed impact-factored scientific journals with a personal Scopus H-index of 45 and more than 8.000 citations.

He is a member of the ESHRE Commission (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) and of the ECRES (Certification for Reproductive Endoscopic Surgeons) reproductive endoscopy certification program.

He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Disorders and of the Editorial Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology International.

His main professional and scientific interests focus on the treatment of endometriosis, minimally invasive pelvic surgery (laparoscopic and robotic), fertility and ovarian tissue transplantation, gynecological oncology, pregnancy and obstetric complications of oncological patients, of patients affected by endometriosis and of patients operated for uterine pathology.
