Robert Kress, DO is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery, and is fellowship trained in colon and rectal surgery, practicing at Colorectal Surgical Associates in Leawood and Overland Park, Kansas, and in Independence and Gladstone, Missouri. Dr. Kress found his passion for surgery in helping those diagnosed with colon cancer, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, and other gastrointestinal diagnoses. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery including robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic procedures. He believes that treating the whole patient and individualizing care provides the best outcomes for his patients. He strives to provide an excellent patient experience while providing the most up-to-date and evidence-based care. Dr. Kress earned his medical degree from Kansas City University in Kansas City, Missouri, and completed his residency in general surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Houston, Texas. After residency, Dr. Kress continued at UTHSC and completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery.
