Dr. Sameh Rizkalla has been a Project Scientist at the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida since 2021s and a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and Associate Professor at the Department of General Surgery, Mansoura University Hospital, in Mansoura, Egypt.  Dr. Emile is a member of the Egyptian Society of Surgeons (ESS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). 

He is the Author of more than 330 scientific publications published in peer-reviewed impact-factored scientific journals with more than 8,000 citations and a Google Scholar H-index of 40 and a Scopus H-index of 31. 

Dr. Rizkalla is a member of the Editorial Board of Surgery, World Journal of Surgery, BMC Surgery, Colorectal Disease, Frontiers in Surgery, and Medicine.  He is a member of the ESCP T1 rectal cancer guideline committee and the ERAS guideline update committee. His main professional and scientific interests focus on colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor disorders, minimally invasive colorectal surgery, perianal fistulas, and patient-reported outcomes.
