Dr. Sidney Klajner is a digestive system surgeon, coloproctologist, and president of the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP), where he also did his residency, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.   He is the coordinator of the graduate course in Coloproctology and lectures on the Executive MBA in Health Management at the Instituto Israelita de Ensino e Pesquisa Albert Einstein, and is a member of the São Paulo Government’s Superior Council for Combating Infectious Diseases, which formulates strategies for coping with new epidemics and pandemics.   Klajner is a member of the Brazilian Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (SBCBM), the Brazilian Society of Laparoscopic Surgery (SOBRACIL), the Brazilian Society of Coloproctology (SBCP), the Brazilian College of Digestive System Surgery, and the Brazilian College of Surgeons. He sat on the Advisory Board at the Fundação Faculdade de Medicina (FFM) from 2018 to 2022.   He is the author of numerous works in digestive surgery published in international journals and the co-author of several books. He has also collaborated with publications related to management, such as the books "A Revolução Digital na Saúde" (The Digital Revolution in Healthcare - Editora dos Editores, 2019) and "Na linha frente: enfrentando o desconhecido” (On the front line: facing the unknown - Editora dos Editores, 2022).   Dr. Klajner is a member and vice-president of the Deliberative Council at the Federação Israelita do Estado de São Paulo (FISESP), a member of the Advisory Board at the Confederação Israelita do Brasil (CONIB), and of the Board of Directors at the Instituto Coalizão Saúde.   He was rated one of the most influential executives in healthcare in Brazil by journalists in the sector, according to Healthcare Management magazine, published by Grupo Mídia, between 2018 and 2022, consecutively.
