I am an ambitious and compassionate Professor and Honorary Consultant of Clinical Oncology, an international authority in the management of prostate cancer with advanced radiotherapy and systemic therapies. I am a Co-Director for the Belfast Manchester FASTMAN Movember/ Prostate Cancer UK Centre of Excellence programme. My clinical academic focus is localised and advanced prostate cancer. I am very interested in hypofractionated radiotherapy as a means to escalate radiation dose to tumour and improve outcomes for men with locally advanced prostate cancer. This radiotherapy can be optimally delivered with High Dose Rate brachytherapy or with Image Guided Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR). I am the Chief Investigator on a clinical-translational study of prostate SABR and two studies in prostate cancer. I have been local PI on 17 clinical trials, I'm a member of 9 Trial Mangement Groups.
