Tracy S. Wang, MD, MPH, FACS, is currently professor of surgery, vice-chair of strategic and professional development, and chief of the section of endocrine surgery in the department of surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin (Milwaukee, WI). Dr. Wang is the program leader for the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Endocrine Cancer Program and program director of the MCW Comprehensive Endocrine Surgery Fellowship.
She completed her residency in general surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and fellowship in endocrine surgery at Yale University. Her clinical practice is focused on the surgical endocrine disease of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands, including inherited endocrine syndromes. Dr. Wang has published >150 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters.
She currently serves as President of the Society of Asian Academic Surgeons, Treasurer of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, and a Councilor-at-Large for the Society of Surgical Oncology. She is on the Board of Directors for the Surgical Biology Club II. She also serves as an Associate Editor for the American Journal of Surgery and on the Editorial Boards of World Journal of Surgery and the Journal of Surgical Research.
Dr. Wang’s primary clinical and research focus involves malignant and benign tumors of the endocrine system, most notably thyroid cancer, adrenal neoplasms and inherited/sporadic parathyroid disease. In particular, she has an interest in optimizing multidisciplinary protocols for the perioperative management of patients with surgical endocrine disease.
