Dr. Vincent Chidi Enemuo is a consultant general surgeon interested in surgical oncology at the University of Nigerian Teaching Hospital Enugu. He is also a visiting honorary consultant to the Alex Ekwueme University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, Nigeria.
He is currently the Secretary of the Nigerian Society of Colorectal Disorder and a member of the West African College of Surgeons Surgery Curriculum Board. He is the Deputy Director of the Multidisciplinary Oncology Center of the University of Nigerian Teaching Hospital Enugu.
Dr. Vincent Enemuo is the lead Facilitator of the Basic Surgical Skills program of the West African College of Surgeons at the Enugu Training Centre
Dr. Vincent Enemuo is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons.
He had his undergraduate training at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka where he served as the Director of research and the President of the Medical Students Association. Dr. Vincent Enemuo had his Postgraduate training to obtain his Fellowship at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Enugu where he served concurrently for two years as the Chief resident of Surgery,
Dr. Enemuo also had a Post Fellowship training in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy at the Klinikum Da Universitat Munich Germany in 2014 and an advanced Laparoscopic course at the Alexandria Training Institute Egypt.
He is the recipient of the Smith International Colorectal Scholar of the Cleveland Clinic Florida USA. Dr. Enemuo was an International Career Development Scholar of the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO). He had an Observership at the Duke Cancer Institute, North Carolina USA in 2024.
As a professional with an interest in Surgery education, he has supervised students' masters research in General Surgery at the University of Edinburgh and for Part 2 Finals of the West African College of Surgeons.
Dr. Enemuo has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented several abstracts at internal scientific conferences.
Dr. Enemuo is passionate about the advancement of Colorectal surgery services in resource-constrained environments and has contributed immensely to surgical education.
