The journey of becoming a medical professional is not an easy one, and this is especially true for those who are going through residency. Residents face numerous challenges in their daily work, and one of the most significant challenges is the emotional toll that can come with being a healthcare provider. This is particularly evident when residents experience medical errors or adverse patient outcomes, leading to what is known as the Second Victim Syndrome. This phenomenon is particularly common in the demanding environment of residency, where trainees are faced with high-stress situations and complex patient cases. This event is meant to raise awareness about the Second Victim Syndrome and provide support and resources for those who may be experiencing its effects. We hope that you will join us for this important event, as we work together to promote the mental health and well-being of our healthcare providers.
