This course is intended for colorectal surgeons experienced in laparoscopic and/or robotic TME as well as transanal endoscopic surgery (TEM and/or TAMIS). This 2-day course will provide participants with in-depth teaching and hands-on training in TaTME on human cadavers by international experts.
The purpose of this course is to train colorectal surgeons in the techniques of Transanal TME (TaTME), TAMIS and proctectomy. In-depth didactic sessions will focus on the rationale for transanal approach, patient selection, operative set up, and perioperative care. Live surgery demonstration and intensive hands-on practice in a human cadaver model will train participants in the surgical techniques and instrumentation for these procedures.
The target audience is colorectal surgeons (or general surgeons/surgical oncologists with a dedicated colorectal practice) experienced in laparoscopic and/or robotic TME (> 20 cases per year) as well as transanal endoscopic surgery (TEM and/or TAMIS) and advanced anorectal procedures.
Fees include cadaver lab, didactic sessions, syllabus, live operative demonstrations, free personalised recording and editing of the cadaver lab, the live surgery and the lectures for permanent viewing by each participant, on-site lunch (finger buffet) and coffee breaks
